One very horrible day October 2021, I received an early morning phone call about my granddaughter being in a rollover accident. After finally finding out that she was safely taken to the hospital and doing well I was told that her dog Wynnie have been on the truck with her but was not with my granddaughter at the accident site.

Well Wynnie had been hiding in the bushes, she had been ejected from the vehicle during the rollover, was frightened and hiding. i’m sure you’re wondering why I’m telling you the story and I’ll get to the point right now.

Wynnie came out of the bushes as soon as all the emergency crew left the scene. This accident occurred on the freeway, when she came out…she walked onto the freeway trying to find her mom. She was hit by a car, thrown quite a ways and had some pretty severe injuries. she was completely paralyzed on the left side of her body that survived being hit by a car exiting the freeway at 55 mph.

We got her the necessary medical care, and brought her home. The vet said to continue allowing her to eat whatever she would be willing to do. Well we tried everything, we offered her her regular Lucy dog food, all three flavors… We offered her Lucy treats, we offered her canned dog food, ground beef, anything we could find and she refused it all. Then I called into speak with the Lucy Pet staff and ask them if they had any suggestions at all.

What I got was unbelievable… they told me about the new Beef role and offered to overnight me out one to see if she’d be willing to eat it. To my astounding surprise the second I slice that open and offered some tour she gobbled it down like I was feeding her steak. I called back into Lucy and told them and they shipped me immediately several more rolls. this was the only thing she would eat, and she continued to eat it for the next six weeks. Then she finally decided it was OK to go back on the kibble but had to have a little bit of the beef roll chopped up inside there. We did this for another six weeks.

We weren’t sure what Wynnie‘s life was going to be like considering she was paralyzed on one side of her body. I wish there was a way to share a video of Wynnie today, because being patient, keeping her healthy with good food has resulted in the nerves healing themselves and though she doesn’t move exactly like she did before the accident that girl got feeling back in both legs and runs and plays like a normal dog. I completely credit a good portion of this to the fact that we were feeding her good food.

Thank you Joey,,Jessica and Dr. Fahey for being there in our time of need.. for making such a wonderful food for our Furbabies!!!

My dogs LOVE this product! Every time I get a new order or start the process of cutting them up for treats or to shred on their food they go absolutely crazy! It is the perfect mid afternoon snack for them, perfect training treat, or food topper for them. I have never seen my dogs be more excited about a treat before.
